Healthy Recipe Roundup: #1

We're trying something new today on the blog--a healthy recipe roundup. While we normally post more wordy content, it can be hard to go out and search for healthy recipes on your own. Today, we're making it easy for you with some tasty ideas that you can incorporate into your week.

Let's go!

This Mediterranean Quinoa Salad is filled with protein rich quinoa, some nice summery vegetables, and some tasty, salty, feta and kalamata olives.

There are only a couple steps to this salad which also makes it super easy to make when you don't have a lot of time.

It also stays and marinates in the fridge which means you can make it an advance and eat it throughout the week.

Pair this quinoa salad with some grilled chicken, a turkey burger or some beef for a healthy, well-balanced meal.

There's something about chicken salad that is just...special. It's creamy, savory and just delicious. This cilantro chicken salad is super simple to make--just some chopped chicken and some classic chicken salad ingredients but adds some refreshing cilantro to jazz it up a little bit.

Just like the quinoa salad, chicken salad tastes better the more it sits so make this in advance and eat it over a couple of days!

Serve this chicken salad atop a salad, a piece of toast or in an avocado as pictured. Whatever way you eat it, you're bound to enjoy it!

These sheet pan chicken pitas sound absolutely delicious for an easy weeknight dinner. Some simple chicken breast, some nice peppers and a bit of tangy homemade tzatziki make for a perfect meal.

You can make these into pitas, as described, or even put the toppings on top of a bed of lettuce, quinoa or whatever else you fancy.

This whole meal comes together in less than 30 minutes too which definitely makes it a winner.

High in protein, low in fat and full of flavor, this dish is bound to be a new weeknight favorite.

We've got nothing against actual tacos but these tacos in a tomato look pretty darn cool. Not only do they mix up your normal taco night but the tomato is refreshing and adds another veggie (well....fruit) to your dinner.

This stuffed tomato also makes for good portion control as you can only fit so much inside one of those guys.

Top your tomato taco with some cheese, lettuce and sour cream or greek yogurt. You could even add some avocado or guacamole if you want to get fancy.

And there's four new recipes for you to try this week! Let us know in the comments if you cook any of them up!
